Deb Freeman, owner

Hi, my name is Deborah Freeman, but my family and friends call me Deb! I am a single mother of two grown sons, and I love baking and decorating cakes, cupcakes and cookies!

My passion for baking started as a child—watching my mother and grandmother baking all kinds of goodies for us kids. My mom would bake cakes or pies every Sunday and especially for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I would stay up with her until the sunrise baking for our family dinner.

Education & experience

That childhood passion led to culinary school at Johnson and Wales. I worked for a local bakery, Sweet Temptations, before starting my own business: Deb's Heavenly Cakes!

Edible art

Baking and decorating cakes is an art form and a way of expression the gifts and talents that GOD has given me. Each piece is custom to each client for their event.

I have been baking desserts and pastries for hundreds of customers, many whom are repeat customers. I decorate cakes for all occasions, including weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and special holidays. My cake designs include floral arrangements, sport themes, wedding celebrations, children's favorite animated characters, and many more.

My staff and I take great pride in making sure that every creative works of edible art taste as good as it looks. Having a client say "It's too beautiful to cut, but I will!" is what we strive for at Deb's Heavenly Cakes.
